Micro needling may sound a bit worrying when we talk about wounding the skin to generate a response, however it is scientifically backed controlled dermal wounding to stimulate the wound healing cascade. This results in the release of various growth factors to promote new collagen and elastin production which are the building blocks of healthy skin. By triggering a response in the lower layers of the skin and then inputting bespoke mesotherapy cocktails which are suited to different concerns we can super boost our skins health.
Needling is ideal for patients with uneven skin tone, or texture, and it helps even out superficial pigmentation and redness too. Needling is also fabulous for fine lines especially those spreading from the eyes and around the lips - those first signs of ageing.
At Ohh! we suggest micro needling to patients who are considering Botulinum Toxin treatments or Dermal fillers, either to get the skin in great condition beforehand and therefore support the effect of the injectables, or instead of, to show how much better the face can look just by improving skin quality.
Mesotherapy is fabulous for skin issues that present from within the lower layers such as dehydration and advanced ageing because a targeted active solution is being injected as the tiny needles are penetrating the skin creating micro channels. It is fabulous for dehydrated, dull, puffy, sagging – volume loss in skin.
Topical anaesthetic can be applied for needling if required.
At Ohh! I use a favourite of mine, a digital pop, medical grade needling device to create perfect tiny channels required for ultimate transportation. I prefer precise needling to roller options, such as the derma roller devices, due to the difference in the way the devices penetrate .
The picture shows the effect from the roller action as it ‘flicks up’ as it were as it rolls in comparison to the straight vertical neater action of my needling device.
The Quantum LED Light Therapy is a fabulous addition to add to this treatment.
